KELBURN GARDEN PARTY FESTIVAL

Poor weather and a low turn-out - and an overbearing security/police presence - turned a potentially memorable festival into a rather subdued one. Still, the bands were good and the Chuggabug got us there (Kelburn Castle,near Largs) without a hitch. A wee run-out for the old banger before we really put her to work this summer...

KNOCKENGORROCH 2009

Music festivals are invariably dire...shite guitar bands,shite beer & food,shite overcrowded atmosphere. Knockengorroch (north Galloway) is different,definately the best fest in Scotland, if not the whole UK. A riot of colour, where Afghan folk groups and hardcore Dub (Bob Hillary & The Massive Mellow) rub shoulders with highlights like Orkestra Del Sol, Michael Marra and The Banana Sessions, not to mention a REAL ALE TENT and stall that sold Gluten Free nosh!The old Chuggabug did the logistical business once again, the only casualty being her rear registration plate that fell off and vanished into the Spring mud!
